7th Annual Old Forestport Days-8/21/2012
FORESTPORT - The 7th Annual Old Forestport Days will be held on Saturday, August 25, rain or shine. Old Forestport Days is a community event that celebrates the downtown part of Forestport and the town’s 142nd birthday.
The focus of the Festival is to provide food, fun and festivities to kids of all ages in the area.
The Forestport Fire Department is adding a new fun activity for this year. Join the fun and watch the Volunteer Firefighters have their first Water Ball contest. The Fire Department is expecting a great turnout for this and action starts at 9 a.m. at the old ballfield across from St. Patrick’s church. In addition, you can meet the Junior Firefighters (age 14-17) as they prepare their lives as future volunteers to their community. They are organizing raffles and a booth during this event.
Some of the featured events include the always popular Firefighter’s Chicken Barbecue at noon and an indoor garage sale at the Firehouse.
