Local School Budgets Pass-5/21/2012

School budgets across the region were passed on Tuesday, May 15.
At Adirondack Central School, the budget passed 384-69 with Richard Gallo and Todd Leichty winning seats on the Board of Education.
South Lewis Central approved their budget 297-165. Purchasing three buses was also approved. Mary Martin and Andrew Liendecker were elected to the School Board.
Lowville approved its budget 460-82. Also approved were propositions to buy three school buses, the district’s capital reserve account, library funding and transportation for Head Start students. Jeffrey Hellinger won a three year term on the Board.
Beaver River approved its budget 253-98. Purchasing two school buses was also approved.
Copenhagen approved its budget 122-30. The school bus and Head Start propositions also passed.
Harrisville approved its budget 158-66. A bus purchase and money for the local library was also approved. Chuck Langs was re-elected to the school board over Ann Hall, 134-85.
In Carthage, its budget passed 401-394. Measures to buy a bus and fund the local library also passed.
In the Town of Webb, the budget passed 336-69 with Sharon Evans defeating Clayton Luce 260-91 in the race for the open Board seat.
