First Annual Sink-A-Boat Fundraiser Slated for June 25-6/20/2011

WOODGATE - The Woodgate Volunteer Fire Department will be holding its First Annual Sink-A-Boat Fundraiser on June 25 starting at 9 a.m. at the White Lake Shores Beach A, across from the White Lake Inn.
Fire department teams consisting of four members each will be tied and anchored approximately 65 feet apart in 12 foot rowboats. The teams will attempt to sink each other’s boats with water from a small-diameter fire hose. The contest will follow a double elimination format with the winning team receiving a rotating trophy and the top three teams each receiving a plaque.
Registration is still open and fire department teams can register up to 10am the day of the event.
Spectators are welcome and there will be no admission fee. Please bring your own seating and make a day of it. Refreshments will be available and donations will be appreciated.
