Wilson is Project Inspector, Not Grant Administrator
In a story in the September 28 Boonville Herald it was incorrectly reported that Sherry Wilson had been hired by the village to serve a grant administrator. Lisa Kaiding continues to serve as grants administrator for the village of Boonville. Officials have hired Wilson, an employee with the Mohawk Valley Community Action Agency, to act as a project inspector for the New York Main Street Grant Program.

STORM KNOCKS OUT POWER
On Thursday morning, September 29, high winds played havoc in the North Country. The winds knocked out power to some 53,000 across Northern and Central New York, including many Boonville Municipal Commission customers. Downed trees and power lines kept fire departments and utility companies busy throughout the day. This photo was taken by Mike Pohoresky on Thursday, showing a downed tree across the Egypt Road in Boonville. Pohoresky said a Niagara Mohawk crew was quickly on the site, removing the tree and opening the road.
